Intex Aqua Style Pro with Kitkat and 8MP Camera at ₹ 6,990

Intex has became aggressive with new products launching at very competitive prices. The latest entrant is Aqua Style Pro which comes with Android Kitkat 4.4 pre-loaded.

Intex Aqua Style Pro has 4.5″ 854×480 pixel resolution display. It also features 1.2 GHz Broadcom Quad Core chip-set coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. There’s also an external card slot.

The rear camera is of 8-megapixels with auto-focus and dual-led flash. The front camera is also 2-megapixels and will be decent enough for selfie’s and video chats. The battery inside is 1800 mAH.

In terms of connectivity it has Dual SIM, 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS along with sensors like proximity, gravity and ambient light sensor.

This phone weighs 120grams and is just 8.8mm thick. It comes in two colors white and black. It will be available for sale soon at ₹ 6,999 only.

Initial Impression

The specification of Intex Aqua Style Pro is great for its price and it manages to outdo it competitors Micromax Unite 2 and Moto E but the real world usage is yet to be seen.

Micromax Doodle 3 Now available with Kitkat 4.4.2 and 8GB Internal Memory



Micromax has relaunched Canvas Doodle 3 in India with Kitkat . It will feature same big 6 inch display of FWVGA resolution, though it wont give the higher pixel density but watching movies and videos on these phablet will be great.


Micromax Canavas Doodle 3 is powered by 1.3GHz Dual-Core MT6572 CPU coupled with 1GB RAM and 8-gigs of internal storage. It now runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and there is a micro-SD slot on these phone.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 features 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p video-recording. There is also a front camera of 0.3-megapixel. It also features Dual-SIM, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3g. It has proximity, accelerometer and light sensors.The battery inside is 2500mAh which should make it last a day in case of moderate usage.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 also comes with magnetic flip cover in box and is priced at just INR 8300 from Flipkart.

HTC seeding HTC One Android 4.4.2 update in India

HTC has started Android 4.4.2 roll out for HTC One and the update is currently rolled out in phases. HTC One Kitkat update is now rolling out in India, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia.

HTC One kitkat update is about 330MB and contains Android 4.4.2 Kitkat based changes, bug fixes, enhancements, cloud print service, security enhancements, Improved memory management and support of newer Bluetooth profiles.

Other changes include updated gallery app, do not disturb feature, lock-screen improvements, improved music app, power management enhancements, better battery life and improved camera.

Update should appear automatically and if it doen’t you can manualy check update by going to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Exynos Version Starts Receiving Official Kitkat Update

Samsung Russia today started pushing Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Exynos variant. It was last week when we reported about the leaked KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Snapdragon Variant and now its officially released for consumers.

Samsung has started rollout from Russia as usual but other countries will start receiving update soon and the update is expected to hit Indian Note 3 by end of this month. 

The KitKat firmware boosts the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, improves the RAM management and increase the system stability. It will also bring you monochrome status bar icons, full-screen album art on the lockscreen, plus some bug fixes and battery life improvement. 

Jelly bean Now on 59.1 percent of android phones.

Google released android version chart for the month of January 2014 and looks like google strategy of launching three versions of jellybean helped them as now jellybean is part of 59.1% of total android phones that are active.

In the latest chart it can be noted that Kitkat is slowly growing with 1.4% share and froyo is almost in existent with 1.3% share. Gingerbread still forms 1/5th share of total active phone and Ice Cream Sandwich is rocking 16.9% smartphones.

Google android Honeycomb is only on 0.1% and we are happy as it was quite buggy when released and google did a tidy job by merging Tablet OS and Mobile OS from Ice Cream Sandwich.
